GRANDE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY  [Even More click here]

Anyone who's started their own business will tell you there are no short-cuts to success.
To leave a mark on the landscape through one's own efforts is a hard-earned accomplishment.  Working from daybreak to sundown reveals not only the resulting quality of construction, but the integrity of a man.

Fred Grande has been successful because of one main factor: hard work.

Drive by one of his communities and you're likely to find him there. Fred Grande personally oversees the work... administratively, land development, new home construction and personally attends closing. He still works 13 - 14 hours a day because he knows that in the end, the work will bear his name...

Founded as Tony Grande & Son's Construction in 1972, the company's original projects included Fox Chase, Scott Street in Reading. After retiring in 1980, Tony Grande turned the business over to his son Fred.  Colony Springs in Wernersville was his first solo project.  After that came Mifflin Hills, Heidelberg Country Club Estates, Overbrook in Cumru Township.  The Country Club Estates adjacent to the Reading Country Club was extremely popular. Leesport Phase I, II & III offered tremendous views and Maidencreek Ridge was accessible to Allentown.

"My father taught me that nobody is going to do anything for you.  You have to make your own way. You have to work long hard hours to build your business."  says Fred Grande.

Fred Grande incorporates that philosophy in his "hands-on" approach to every job he undertakes. And working hard doesn't end at the job site for the innovative builder.  "I travel the country looking at home trends and styles.  I attend trade shows to preview and bring back state-of-the-art technology to incorporate into my homes... I work very hard to stay ahead and give the customer what they need..."

The Grande Family - 1994

Over the years the entire Grande family has been involved in the business, including Mrs. Carmina Grande. Their children: Antonio, Gian-Franco, Sabrina, Laura and Fabrizio helped to prepare the houses for settlement.

Looking towards the future, Grande plans to have his son Antonio take over the business.  Antonio 'Tony' Grande was a member of Wilson High School's PIAA finalist soccer team.  Just as Fred took over the business from his father, so will his son; passing the torch from one generation to the next.

Tony has been successful in achieving top awards from the Berks County Home Builder's Association for his home designs and sweeping many of the categories in the Parade of Homes.  Tony states: " Grande Construction has over 30 years of providing homes that offer expert craftmanship with unfailing attention during the building process... at Grande Construction, we understand that a home centers around the people who live in it and each room is a key part of the whole living experience that make up a home..."
